She will be joined by “Blurred Lines” singer Thicke. Previously announced music stars set for appearances on upcoming episodes of The X Factor include Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and last years winner James Arthur. The X Factor U.K. entered its live shows stage this past weekend with performances from Cher and Ellie Goulding. The show drew the biggest TV audience in the U.K. this Sunday, ahead of hit costume drama Downton Abbey, which also airs on ITV.

For Katy Perry and fans alike the excitement is building as the release of the superstars third studio album under the Katy Perry alias. Prism is due to be released on the 22nd of October and the star has shared a trailer for the album and she has also allowed fans to have a preview of each song ahead of the albums release. Earlier today Perry released a short trailer which is just 7 seconds long (at the bottom of this page) and shows a female worker in a department store. The worker is pushing a stack of boxes through the store while whistling the tune to the first single from the album Roar. Katy Perry explained earlier in the month that because she had so much new material that the release of Prism was brought forward. The original plan wasnt to release the album this year: In May I sat down with my managers and said, Guys, I think Im going to have everything ready enough to come out this fourth quarter. We werent really thinking wed be able to put anything out until February , but you dont want to sit on something thats about to burst. The beauty has also given her fans the opportunity to preview each song on the album and the star announced the decision on Twitter to her millions of fans: In just a few hours when the ITUNES store turns you will be able to preview 90 seconds of EACH song on #PRISM Whos ready for the light?!
